  1. As a therapist and a 2nd wife, I am disappointed in this blog post. Clearly, the author is not trained in marriage and family therapy. There is no mention of the husbsnd dealing with a demanding first wife or spoiled children that are puppeted and/or alienated by a first Favoring children during the teenage years could last 20 years if there is multiple children aged 13-19. The author states the teen years are when a father puts his kids first. This is completely unreasonable to expect a second wife to wait years or decades for her husband to make her a priority. This article should be erased from the internet or re-written after researching the experiences of second wives.
